Murder at the New York Canal. It’s 1909 in Boise, Idaho. On a cold February morning, three thousand town’s folk gather along the banks downstream of Diversion Dam, awaiting the opening of the New York Canal. The head gates open and release a great gush of water. A bloated body bobs to the surface. Among the crowd witnessing the gruesome site is detective Sylvia Morrow, and that corpse is her next client. Solving this case will be doubly challenging. Before Vera can find the killer, she must determine the identity of the victim.
